XC MOUNTAIN BIKING/CYCLOCROSS

Brad is a resident of the Colorado Front Range.  He has been racing mountain and cyclocross bikes at a high level in Colorado and California since 2006.  On the bike, Brad is known as “Ox,” a nickname given to him during a heated race finish by a competitor.  When not on the mountain bike, Brad is a full-time mechanical engineer and weekend mechanic.

Brad started the 2020 season racing the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo in Arizona.  He is working to maintain a high level of fitness in anticipation of the racing starting back up mid-summer. Brad is targeting the Firecracker 50, Epic Single-Track Winter Park Series, and a tandem entry into the Breck Epic with his wife.  He then plans on racing a full cyclocross season.

Dave Scott

MOUNTAIN BIKE/FAT BIKE/SPARTAN

Dave lives in Cadillac, Michigan and has been racing mountain bikes at events around the state since 2006. With the popularity of fat bikes, groomed trails, and our far share of snow, he took up fat bike riding/racing in 2015. He also enjoys the challenge of and competing in Spartan races.

In 2022 I made the jump to racing gravel bikes and less mountain bike races.

My highlights of 2022 would be finishing 3rd in the Cow Pie Classic Gravel Race, racing the Coast 2 Coast gravel road race, and just exploring the endless miles of gravel roads in Michigan!!
Goals for 2023: Racing in the Michigan Gravel Road Race Series, and competing in the Marji Gesick mountain bike race, which is known as the “the hardest single day mountain bike race in the Midwest!”
Favorite Fluid flavor: Blueberry Pomegranate Performance and Chocolate Recovery

In 2021 I was the USA Triathlon Active Duty Law Enforcement National Champion.
Goals for 2022: Unfortunately my big goals for 2022 will be briefly side tracked while I recover from hip surgery, but I am hopeful to come back strong in the fall with a PR half marathon!

ULTRA TRAIL RUNNER

2023 Goals: My goal for this year to reach my potential at the 100 mile distance. I'm starting the year with some faster races (Avalon 50, Ventura Marathon & the Leona Divide 50k) and then I'll be running three 100 mile races (San Diego 100, Angeles Crest 100 & the Javelina 100). I've run five 100 mile races but haven't really nailed one yet, hopefully 2023 will be that year!
Favorite Part of being a Fluid Athlete: I love the family atmosphere of team FLUID and the FLUID products are amazing! I use the FLUID Protein (Chocolate & Vanilla), Performance (Fresh Citrus & Blueberry Pomegranate) and Recovery (Mint Chocolate & Chocolate) all the time.
Valuable Lesson Learned: The most important thing I've learned from running long races is patience. It doesn't come naturally to me but I've learned to hold back for the first half of races so I can finish hard while others are slowing down.

CYCLOCROSS/XC MOUNTAIN BIKE

Carl and Kristal Boni live in Colorado just outside of Boulder. They both have raced all disciplines of bikes over the last 15+ years with a primary focus on cyclocross and mountain biking, and have been huge Fluid fans pretty much the whole time! Their son and daughter race all disciplines and are Fluid fans as well!

Carl
Goals for 2022: To get back to racing! 2021 brought shoulder surgery and a foot injury that limited me to just one race. For 2022, I'll get getting back to the local mountain bike series in Winter Park, plus Iron Horse and hopefully MTB nationals. This is our 10th year working with Fluid and it is a huge part of our process for before, during, and after training and races.
Favorite Fluid flavor: Fresh Citrus

A song that fires you up: Pretty much anything by Rise Against

Kristal
Goals for 2022: I'm shooting for a top 3 at MTB and cyclocross Nationals. Plus, I'd like to do more mountain bike and cyclocross racing in general. Above all, I want to continue to have fun on my bike!
Favorite Fluid flavor: Raspberry Lemonade Performance, Chocolate Recovery

A song that fires you up: Anything that I can sing along with to lose myself in. 80s rock, punk like Linkin Park and Rise Against

ROAD CYCLIST/MOUNTAIN BIKER

Accomplishments from 2021: Keeping a regular training rhythm throughout the year, and attending the Collegiate Triathlon Nationals in September which was hosted as part of the Malibu Triathlon. While an injury set me back from the performance I was expecting, I also competed in the first iteration of 70.3 Salem, and look forward to racing more at the half-iron distance after graduation this spring.
Goals for 2022: To stay healthy and consistent in training throughout the unpredictable race season that we are facing in Collegiate Triathlon. I have been struggling with an injury since last summer, but hope to get that taken care of and represent Cal Poly Triathlon at Nationals this year in Lake Lanier, Georgia. In addition to getting back into consistent running, I want to try and enter an open water swim race this year! I have swam since I was 8 years old, but have still never competed in one of these events and would love the opportunity.
Favorite Fluid flavor: Hands down Blueberry Pomegranate for Performance and Cinnamon Vanilla for Recovery.
A song that fires you up: Nothing gets me through a hard training session like 'Til I Collapse by Eminem.
